Ian has given lectures on "The Art of Auditioning" and taken repertoire class at the Academy. He has also adjudicated The Clarinet Prize and sat on final recital examinations..

For over twenty years Ian has coached at Benslow and taken part in the Saturday evening recitals. He has always tried to bring new and unknown repertoire to his enthusiastic audiences.
